Background:
The building is the third in the BARCODE development at Oslo's watefront. This building will be the headquarter for Visma, the biggest company for accounting in Norway. The roofs in the BARCODE development requires 50% green roofs and the Vismabuilding has two roofs with sedum.
Solution:
Oldroyd Green 10B was rolled out over a waterproof membrane before 5cm of substrate was spread as a growing medum for the sedum mats. The Oldroyd Green 10B ensures good drainage during long periods of rainfall an also keep a water storage for dry periods.
Result:
The building now has a nice area of use on the roof in green environments, established with ecologically friendly materials.
