Background:
Paradis station is located in Paradis close to Stavanger and is a part of the new double track between Sandnes - Stavanger. The station serves passengers using commuter trains between Sandnes and Stavanger.
Solution:
Oldroyd Xv20 GreenXtra and Oldroyd Tp were installed over a root resistant flat roof waterproofing membrane as shown below.
Sedum mats was then laid on top.
The Oldroyd Xv20 GreenXtra drainage layer prevents the sedum from becoming waterlogged during long periods of rainfall, and also stores water to allow the sedum to survive during long dry periods.
The Oldroyd "Multi layer Technology" allows the use of recycled materials in the mid layer, the outer layers of the membrane contains virgin materials.

Result:
The station now has a thriving green roof that has been constructed using products designed to be as ecologically as possible.
